Cuppsett - 19-piece Cupping Set

Cupping is a thousands-of-years-old technique: a vacuum is created in a cup placed on the skin, which pulls the skin and the underlying soft tissue upward. This is the opposite of what a massage does, where pressure is applied to the tissue.

The Cuppsett set is a 19-piece manual cupping set with a hand pump, without any electronics.

Cupping is a wellness technique, not a medical treatment, and it does not replace professional medical care.

It is used to mobilize tight, fatigued muscles and support relaxation after exercise, typically in these areas:

• back, shoulders, back of the neck
• larger muscle groups of the arms and legs
• connective tissue areas of the hips and thighs

Do not use on the face, head, front of the throat, or the genital area.

• choose the size of the cup appropriate for the area
• apply to clean, dry skin; a small amount of massage oil will help with gliding
• connect the pump via the tube and create a vacuum with a few pumps
• for beginners, 2-3 pumps are enough; do not leave it on one spot for more than 5 minutes
• to remove, push the valve aside; do not pull the cup off forcefully

It can be used at home on yourself for easily accessible areas. Ask for help for the middle of your back, as it is difficult to reach that area at the right angle.

A treatment typically lasts 5–15 minutes, depending on the size of the area and the intensity level set. A shorter time is suitable for smaller areas, while a longer time is appropriate for larger muscle groups.

Do not treat the same area daily: allow 2-3 days of rest for the marks to fade. 1-2 sessions per week are sufficient for most routines.

For the first time, it is recommended to start with a shorter duration and a lower intensity.

Always start with the lowest setting and gradually increase it until you feel a firm pull, but no pain.

• if you experience sharp pain or a stinging sensation, release the vacuum immediately
• thinner skin areas (inner arms, abdomen) require lower intensity
• the size of the cup also matters: a smaller cup feels stronger at the same setting

The goal is a pleasant, tolerable pull, not the strongest possible vacuum.

Yes, round, red or purple marks may remain on the treated area. Due to the vacuum, the capillaries under the skin open up, which is why the skin becomes discolored.

These marks:

• usually fade gradually within 1–2 weeks
• are not actual bruises and do not involve muscle injury

The treatment itself is not painful; it feels more like a pulling, tightening sensation. If it hurts, reduce the intensity or remove the cup.

Consult a healthcare professional before use if any of the following apply to you:

• open wounds, blisters, rashes, inflamed or infected skin, bruises, or tumors in the area to be treated
• skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis
• recent fractures, osteomyelitis, or severe spinal deformities
• varicose veins, thrombosis, vascular disease or other circulatory disorders, or a history of embolism
• uncontrolled high blood pressure, or severe heart, liver, or kidney disease
• blood clotting disorders or the use of anticoagulants
• reduced sensitivity or peripheral neuropathy
• pacemaker or implanted defibrillator
• recent surgical sites
• pregnancy

Do not use in case of unexplained pain, and do not use on the face, head, throat, neck, or genital area.

It does not work through clothing: for the vacuum to hold, the cup must be applied to bare skin.

It can be used both before and after training. Before training, use a shorter, lighter treatment for mobilization; after training, use a longer one for relaxation.

It complements other tools well (massage gun, fascia blade, red light therapy), but do not treat the same area with multiple intensive tools in a row. Allow rest time between them.

After use, wipe the rim and inside of the cups with a slightly damp cloth or a disinfectant wipe, then allow to air dry. The cups are washable, but keep the pump and tube dry.

Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
