How to use it

How to use the Movtech Air massage gun?

The Movtech Air massage gun helps with muscle regeneration, pain reduction, and increased mobility. Follow the steps below for safe and effective use:

1. Choose the right massage head!

Different muscle groups require different treatments. Snap the desired head into place when the device is switched off.

2. Turn it on and select the intensity!

Switch on the device. Always start at the lowest settingand gradually increase the intensity as your muscles get used to the vibration. The Air model's multiple speed settings allow for gentle relaxation and deep tissue massage.

3. Massage technique

- Don't press hard:Let the gun do the work. It's enough to gently touch it to your skin and move it slowly.

- Continuous movement:Slide the device along the muscles in a longitudinal direction. Do not linger on one spot for more than 10-15 seconds, unless you are treating a specific "muscle knot" (trigger point).

- Avoid bones:Use the massage gun only on soft tissues (muscles)! Avoid joints, bony prominences (e.g., kneecap, spine), and cervical arteries.

4. Duration

- For warm-up:30 seconds per muscle group to awaken the muscles.

- For post-workout recovery:2 minutes per muscle group to break down lactic acid and relieve stiffness.

For daily relaxation:Maximum 10-15 minutes for the entire body.

When not to use it?

Do not use the device on inflamed areas, over varicose veins, in case of fresh injuries (tears, fractures), or if you experience skin lesions. If you are unsure, consult your doctor or physical therapist!

Tip:After use, charge the device so that it is at full capacity for your next workout!

FAQ

Basic information

What is a massage gun?

A massage gun is a handheld, electric massager that delivers rapid, repetitive strokes that penetrate deep into muscle tissues. Its design makes it easy to handle and suitable for use on almost all muscle groups of the body.

What warranty do we provide?

Movtech™ massage guns are made with high-quality industrial components that are very durable. However, if you experience any malfunction, the factory warranty covers the following periods:

Device and charger: 1 year
Lithium batteries: 6 months
Replaceable massage heads: 1 year

Can it be used for trigger point massage?

Yes. A massage gun is an excellent tool for treating trigger points. The device's deep-penetrating vibrations help relax muscle tissue, release adhesions, and reduce muscle stiffness, thus providing an effective solution for loosening tight muscles and promoting general relaxation.

How deep can Movtech massage guns penetrate?

Movtech AIR massage guns penetrate up to 12 mm deep into the tissues, which is considered a deep muscle-level massage in the world of percussive devices.

How much noise do massage guns actually make?

Movtech AIR massage guns operate with a sound level of 42 dB. Although they have extra strong performance, they are surprisingly quiet. You can safely use them at home or in the gym without disturbing your surroundings.

Who is it recommended for?

- athletes and those leading an active lifestyle

- those with desk jobs (neck-shoulder-lower back strain)

- those with standing jobs

- those suffering from muscle tension and stiffness

- those seeking home recovery

Use and operation

How to use?

Fully charge the Massage Gun before use. (Leave it on charge for 2-4 hours.) It will indicate with a green light when fully charged.

Select the desired head for massage. Turn on the gun and place it on the area to be treated. Move the gun up and down, applying light to medium pressure on the treated area.

How and for how long should I charge it?

Important! The device must always be charged in the off state, until the red LED light turns green. For longer battery life, it is recommended to start recharging when the battery level is around 10%. The LED on the bottom of the device's handle indicates the charge level with color (Red, yellow, green).

How and for how long should it be used?

Depending on the desired results, we recommend using the massage gun for at least 15 seconds and up to 2 minutes per muscle group. The total body massage should not exceed 15 minutes. The massage can be repeated 2-3 times daily.

30 seconds = muscle activation. Before exercise or physical activity, use the massage gun for 30 seconds at a low speed to 'warm up' your muscles a bit.

15 seconds = muscle re-activation. Re-activate muscles during or after any activity. Use it for only 10-15 seconds on the specific muscle group. This re-energizes, relieves muscle spasms and fatigue, and keeps muscles active.

2 minutes = Pain reduction and recovery. To reduce pain, use the massage gun for up to 2 minutes on the specific muscle group.

Why does my skin turn red when I use it?

After massaging an area, users may often experience redness and minimal swelling of the skin due to the dilation of blood vessels, muscle cells, and fascia. However, these are good signs, there is no cause for panic. Just like with a manual massage, the gun can increase blood flow, which aids regeneration. If you experience inflammation or pain for an extended period, always consult your doctor.

Can I use massage oils or creams with the Movtech™ Massage Gun?

Absolutely! The treatment will be most effective in combination with Reborn cream.

Only use the double rubber head with cream!

Important! Use the double rubber head exclusively with cream, because due to the longer double head, it will slide less easily on the surface and greater force will be applied to the sheath at the front of the massage gun. This may cause the massage gun to become louder or hum later on! Please keep this in mind and pay attention during use, as errors resulting from this are not covered by the warranty!

Can it be used through clothing?

In most cases, yes. With loose, porous, or baggy clothing, it is advisable to be careful not to damage the material during use. Keep it away from jewelry and body piercings to avoid injury.

If my skin is sensitive, can I still use it on bare skin?

Yes, the device is designed not to cause irritation even on sensitive skin. If you have very sensitive skin and experience any discomfort, try using the massage gun over clothing.

How does it work?

- increase blood circulation and blood flow

- relax tight muscles

- increase range of motion and flexibility. Several studies have shown that even short treatments of 3-4 minutes significantly improve the flexibility of the hamstrings and calves, resulting in an increase of 5-6%. Expanding the range of motion is also crucially important for injury prevention.

- reduce pain

- support muscle regeneration. A Spanish study showed that just 2 minutes of massage gun use resulted in muscle regeneration as effective as a 15-minute manual massage. This is particularly beneficial for those seeking an effective solution with limited time.

- increase muscle strength and performance by delaying fatigue, increasing repetitions, and improving force output and explosiveness.

Contraindications and safety instructions

What precautions should you take?

We strive to make Movtech massage guns and massage heads as safe as possible. However, you need to follow a few basic precautions:

- Charge indoors, in a well-ventilated, dry place.

- Do not charge the device outdoors, in the bathroom, or within 3 meters of a bathtub or swimming pool.

- Do not use the massage gun on wet surfaces.

- Do not expose the charger and massage gun to weather conditions. Snow, rain, and moisture are particularly harmful.

- Do not use the device or charger in an explosive atmosphere (gaseous fumes, dust, or flammable materials). Sparks can be generated, which can cause fire.

- Do not carry the charger by its cable.

- Keep the cable away from heat, oil, and sharp edges.

- Do not use or charge with a damaged cord.

- Keep the cable away from heated surfaces.

- Do not handle the charger with wet hands.

- Unplug the charger when not in use. Replace a damaged charger immediately.

- Do not leave the battery in the charger for more than one hour after the battery has been fully charged. The battery contains a protection system to prevent overcharging. However, overcharging can reduce its lifespan over time.

- Do not place any obstacles in the ventilation openings. Keep loose clothing, hair, fur, and anything that obstructs airflow away from the opening.

- Do not burn the battery, as it may explode, causing personal injury or damage. Additionally, toxic fumes and substances are generated when it is burned.

- Never use a damaged charger.

- Do not let the battery come into contact with skin, eyes, or mouth.

- If battery fluid gets on your skin, wash it with soap and water, then rinse with vinegar. If battery fluid gets in your eyes, rinse immediately with water (for 20 minutes) and consult a doctor.

- The battery will short circuit if a metal object makes contact between the positive and negative terminals of the battery or the 12V connector. A short-circuited battery can cause fire and personal injury.

- Do not use under a blanket or pillow, as excessive heat can build up, which can cause fire, electric shock, or injury.

- Store in a cool, dry place. Only charge the device when the ambient temperature is between 0°C/32°F and 40°C/104°F. Do not store the device in summer in places where the temperature can exceed 40°C, such as in direct sunlight, in a vehicle, or in a metal building.

- Always dispose of the battery in accordance with regulations. Discharged batteries still contain energy, so before disposal, cover the 12V connector with electrical tape to prevent the battery from short-circuiting, which could cause fire or explosion.

- Do not use the device in a bathtub or bath where it may be exposed to moisture. If it falls into water, do not reach for it, but immediately unplug it from the mains.

- If you disassemble the device, all warranties will immediately become void! We will then not be able to repair the device! Please take this into account!

- If any part is not working properly, contact customer service immediately! Thank you.

- Do not insert your finger or any metal object into the plunger where the interchangeable massage heads attach.

- Do not use accessories or batteries other than those provided by Movtech.

- Do not use the device on the head or near the genitals. Also use with caution on the cervical spine after watching the instructional videos.

- Make sure that body hair does not get caught or tangled in the device or between moving parts.

- Do not use on open wounds or surgical interventions (e.g., stitches, incisions).

Is it safe to use on all areas of my body (contraindications)?

Most areas of the body respond very positively to massage. But treat the back and sides of the neck with extreme caution. Do not treat the front of the throat and the spine at the back of the neck. Do not use on varicose vein problems, tissue inflammations, open wounds, skin lesions, stitches, bone healing, or in the immediate vicinity of a pacemaker.

Stay away from tumors, undiagnosed tumors, and cysts. Do not use the massage gun on the face or head. Consult your doctor before use. For complete safety information, refer to the full safety guide in the user manuals.

Can pregnant women use it?

Pregnant women should consult a doctor first before using any of our massage guns. If the doctor approves, always avoid the abdomen!

Can it cause itching?

Itching is a common sensation with a sudden increase in circulation. When muscle cells and blood vessels expand, stimulation of the nervous system can cause minor itching sensations.

Where is the massage gun NOT recommended?

1. On bones, bony surfaces, and the periosteum

The massage gun should not be used directly on bones, bony prominences, or the periosteum.

Examples include:

- shinbone

- kneecap

- elbow tip

- spine

- edges of the shoulder blade

In these areas, there is insufficient muscle tissue to absorb the vibration, so treatment can cause pain, inflammation, or micro-injuries.

2. On joints, tendons, and smaller muscle groups

It is not recommended to use it on:

- knee, elbow, and ankle joints

- fingers, toes

- in the immediate vicinity of tendons

In these areas, there is little muscle tissue, while nerves and blood vessels run close to the skin surface, so high-frequency vibration can cause injury or irritation.

3. In areas rich in nerves and blood vessels

Especially to be avoided:

- the back of the hand

- the inner thigh

- the front of the neck

- the chest

Although vibration can provide temporary pain relief, it is more difficult to detect possible injuries in these areas in time, such as a ruptured blood vessel or nerve damage.

4. In case of health risks

Massage gun use is not recommended in cases of:

- reduced peripheral sensation

- existing diabetes

- blood clotting disorders

- taking anticoagulant medications

In these cases, the user may not timely perceive excessive strain or injury.

Can it cause pain or discomfort?

Mild sensitivity may occur, especially with tight or trigger-point muscles.

⚠️ Sharp pain, numbness, or stinging is not normal – in such cases, immediately reduce the intensity or stop the treatment.

What should I do if I experience a problem during use?

- immediately turn off the device

- check the intensity level and the head used

- do not increase the pressure

- if the discomfort persists, do not continue using it on that area

- in case of persistent discomfort, consult a specialist

Is there any device or method with which it is not recommended to combine?

It is not recommended to use/combine directly with:

- after fresh icing / cold therapy

- under the influence of strong painkillers or muscle relaxants

- electrical stimulation devices (EMS, TENS) on the same area
