Massage gun user manual

Before you begin

  • Upon unpacking, check that everything is intact and complete.
  • Before first use, charge the battery for at least 6 hours.
  • This guide covers two models. The Pro+ comes with 20 levels and 15 heads. The Elit comes with 30 levels and 20 heads. Usage is identical in all other respects.
  • If you are just starting out, the flat or ball-shaped head is the best first choice.

Step by step

  1. Attach the head. With the device turned off, push the stem of the head straight into the socket until it stops. A head that is only partially inserted may come loose and cause noise. When removing, pull it straight out; do not twist it.
  2. Main switch ON. You will find this at the bottom of the handle, on the base of the battery. This does not start the motor yet: the display will show "00" and the charge level.
  3. Start. Touch the middle button on the control panel. The device will start at level 1.
  4. Level. Adjust using the + and - buttons. Always start low, and only increase the level if the previous one felt comfortable.
  5. Massage. Hold the device roughly perpendicular to the skin and move it slowly along the muscle. Do not press it down: the weight of the device and the movement of the head are sufficient. Do not linger too long on one spot.
  6. Stop. Press and hold the middle button, then switch the main power switch to OFF. Always turn off the main switch before changing heads, cleaning, charging, or storing.

Settings and tips

Starting values, which you should adjust based on your own feeling:

Body area Head Starting level Typical range Time
Thigh, glutes ball, flat 5 5–20 1–2 minutes
Back (along the spine) fork, ball 5 5–18 1–2 minutes
Calf ball, soft 3 3–15 1–2 minutes
Shoulder, upper arm ball, soft 3 3–12 1–2 minutes
Forearm, sole of foot soft, flat 1 1–10 30 sec–1 minute
Back of the neck soft 1 1–6 up to 30 sec
  • A full session is maximum 15 minutes, up to 2–3 times per day.
  • For warm-up, approx. 30 seconds per muscle group at a low level; for cool-down, up to 2 minutes.
  • Levels above 20 are only available on the Elit model, and it is not mandatory to reach them.
  • Only use the double rubber head with cream or oil. It does not glide when dry, it overloads the sleeve, and the device will become noisier.
  • For creams and oils, the metal (steel) head is best because it glides well and is easy to clean.
  • After approx. 10 minutes of continuous operation, the device will shut down automatically to prevent the motor from overheating. This is not a malfunction: turn it off, wait at least 30 seconds (preferably a few minutes), and restart it.

Cleaning, charging, and storage

Charging

  • Always set the main power switch to OFF before charging. Use only the original charger; do not use another one even if the connector fits.
  • The charger light is red while charging and green when fully charged (approx. 2–4 hours). Unplug it within an hour afterward. The device cannot be used while charging.
  • Place on charge when the display is below 20%, but avoid full discharge. Charge only between 0 and 40 °C, indoors, in a dry place.

Lubrication: approx. every 3 months, or if it has become louder. With the device turned off, push the sleeve in fully and apply a few drops of Movtech lubricating oil to the outer edge of the rim at 3–4 points around the circumference. Do not use WD-40, cooking oil, or other sprays.

Cleaning and storage

  • Wipe the turned-off, cooled-down device with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then dry. Do not immerse in water and do not use solvents.
  • Store in the carrying case in a dry, cool place, between 5 and 40 °C.
  • Turn the main switch to OFF before storage and charge fully every 20–30 days. A battery left discharged for a long time may be ruined.

When not to use

Do not use, and consult your doctor first if:

  • you have a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device,
  • you have thrombosis or a suspected case, varicose veins in the area, are prone to bleeding, or take blood thinners,
  • there is a tumor, cyst, or unexamined lump in the area you wish to treat,
  • you have a fresh injury, fracture, surgery, sutures, metal plates, or joint implants in the given area,
  • the skin there is inflamed, damaged, or has an open wound,
  • you are pregnant (even with medical permission, avoid the abdomen and lower back),
  • you have a herniated disc or spondylolisthesis, epilepsy, or migraines,
  • you have diabetes-related nerve or eye complications, or you do not feel pressure on your skin well,
  • you are under 18 years of age.

Never use on the head, face, front and sides of the neck, spinal column, bone, joints, heart area, abdomen, or near the genitals. Stop immediately if you feel pain, numbness, dizziness, or notice unusual noise, odors, or strong heating.

Troubleshooting

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a massage gun, and who is it recommended for?

A massage gun is a handheld, electric massage device: it works with fast, repetitive pulses that reach the deeper layers of muscle tissue. The Pro+ operates with a 12 mm amplitude and 30 kg of motor force, features 20 adjustable levels, and comes with 15 massage heads.

Recommended for:

  • athletes and those with an active lifestyle
  • those with sedentary jobs (neck, shoulder, and lower back strain)
  • those who work on their feet
  • those struggling with muscle tension and stiffness
  • those seeking home recovery
How deep does it penetrate, and how loud is it?

The Pro+ has an amplitude of 12 mm, which reaches the deeper layers of larger muscle groups.

Its noise level is around 45 dB, meaning it is quieter than an average conversation. You can use it comfortably at home or in the gym without disturbing those around you.

How should I use it, and for how long on one muscle group?

Select the head, turn on the device, and guide it over the area to be massaged using light to medium pressure, moving it up and down.

A minimum of 15 seconds and a maximum of 2 minutes per muscle group is recommended. The total body session should not exceed 15 minutes, and it can be repeated 2-3 times a day.

  • 30 seconds on low setting: warm-up before exercise
  • 10–15 seconds: muscle reactivation during movement
  • up to 2 minutes: recovery after exercise
Can I use cream or oil on it? Is it also fine through clothing?

Yes, both massage oil and cream can be used; the ReBorn cream provides the most comfortable glide.

Use the dual-rubber head exclusively with cream. It is longer than the others, so it glides less easily on the skin, placing greater stress on the sleeve at the front of the device. Consequently, it may become louder or start to rattle over time, and this type of damage is not covered by the warranty.

In most cases, it can be used through clothing. Be careful with loose, porous fabrics to prevent snagging, and keep it away from jewelry and body piercings.

When is its use NOT recommended?

Avoid the head, face, front of the throat, spine at the back of the neck, and the genital area.

Do not use directly on bones and bony surfaces (shins, kneecaps, elbows, spinal column, shoulder blades), joints, tendons, or areas rich in nerves and blood vessels (back of the hands, inner thighs, front of the neck, chest).

Do not use on open wounds, fresh skin injuries, stitches, varicose veins, or inflamed skin, and avoid the immediate area around a pacemaker, tumors, and cysts.

Exercise extra caution in cases of reduced sensitivity, diabetes, blood clotting disorders, or while taking anticoagulants. If you are pregnant or have any underlying health conditions, consult your doctor before use. The complete safety guide is included in the user manual.

How long does the battery last, and how should I charge it?

The Pro+ lithium battery provides 5–6 hours of runtime, depending on the speed setting used.

Always charge it while switched off until the red LED turns green, which takes approximately 2–4 hours. To preserve battery life, start charging when the battery level is around 10%, and do not leave it on the charger for more than an hour after it is fully charged. The color of the LED on the bottom of the handle (red, yellow, green) indicates the battery level.

A spare battery can also be purchased separately, so you don't have to interrupt your work for charging.

How do I clean and maintain it?

The device is not waterproof, so ensure that neither water nor other liquids enter the interior or the charging port. Always turn it off before cleaning, then wipe the surface and the heads with a disinfectant wipe using circular motions.

Lubricate every three months using the included oil: press the sleeve (where the massage heads attach) all the way in and apply 3-4 drops of oil to the outer edge of the upper rim. Oil dripped into the inner cavity of the sleeve will not reach the correct area.

Why does my skin turn red after use?

Redness and minimal swelling of the massaged area are common: blood vessels and tissues dilate, and increased blood flow occurs. This is a natural consequence of the massage; there is no cause for concern.

If the redness or discomfort persists for an extended period, discontinue use and consult a doctor.

What is the warranty period for the device?

Manufacturer's warranty:

  • device and charger: 1 year
  • lithium battery: 6 months
  • interchangeable massage heads: 1 year

The warranty is voided immediately upon disassembly of the device, and we cannot undertake repairs thereafter. If any component is not functioning properly, please contact our customer service.

What should I do if I feel discomfort during use?

Mild tenderness may occur, especially with tight muscles. Sharp pain, numbness, or a stinging sensation, however, are not normal.

  • stop the device immediately
  • check the intensity level and the attached head
  • do not increase the pressure
  • if the discomfort persists, do not use it on that area anymore
  • in case of persistent symptoms, consult a professional

We do not recommend using it immediately after icing, while under the influence of strong painkillers or muscle relaxants, or in the same area as an electrical muscle stimulation device (EMS, TENS).
