Compression Boots user manual

Before you start

  • Upon unpacking, check that everything is present and intact.
  • Fully charge the control unit before the first use.
  • Place the control unit on a stable, flat surface with at least 5 cm of clearance around it for ventilation.
  • Wear socks and underwear under the boots. This is mandatory if used by multiple people.
  • Remove jewelry and watches, and keep all sharp objects away from the boots.

Step-by-step

  1. Get into position. Sit or lie down comfortably. It is advisable to elevate your legs slightly, roughly to heart level.
  2. Connect the hoses. For two boots: plug the Y-splitter into the air port of the control unit, attach one air hose to each branch, and connect the other ends to the boots. For one boot, a single hose is sufficient without the Y-splitter. Ensure the arrow on the connector faces upward and that all connections are secure.
  3. Put on the boots and pull the zippers up all the way.
  4. Turn it on using the main power switch on the side. If the display does not light up, charge the device.
  5. Select a program using the MODE button (1–6).
  6. Set the time using the TIME + and − buttons (10–90 minutes, in 5-minute increments).
  7. Set the pressure using the PRESSURE + and − buttons. Always start low.
  8. Start by pressing the ON/PAUSE button. The countdown will begin on the display.
  9. At the end of the program, the device will deflate automatically and beep. Remove the boots and turn off the main power switch.

To pause, press the ON/PAUSE button again. If you feel unwell, press the ON/PAUSE button or disconnect the air hose from the control unit: the pressure will be released immediately.

Settings and tips

Situation Initial pressure Typical range Time
First few times 30 mmHg 30–80 mmHg 20–30 minutes
Regular use 80 mmHg 80–120 mmHg 20–30 minutes
Older age, sensitive legs 30 mmHg slowly, increased over several sessions 20–30 minutes
  • Maximum 1–2 sessions per day.
  • Only increase the pressure if you were able to handle the previous level without discomfort. The compression should be firm but pleasant.
  • The range above 120 mmHg is for larger leg circumference, not for a "stronger" massage. Never start with high pressure.
  • The six programs differ only in their rhythm. Program 1 moves from chamber to chamber from the foot to the thigh; 2 fills the chambers one after another and then releases them simultaneously; 3 pulsates; 4 inflates in pairs (1–2, 3–4, 5–6); 5 and 6 are combinations of these. Experiment to see which one you prefer.
  • Chamber locking: if you do not want pressure on a specific area, select the chamber using the POSITION button and lock it with the CONFIRM button. The order of the chambers is: 1. foot, 2. ankle, 3. calf, 4. area around the knee, 5. above the knee, 6. thigh.
  • Size: choose the boots based on your height: M up to 160 cm, L 160–170 cm, XL 170–185 cm, XXL above 185 cm.

Cleaning, charging, and storage

Charging

  • Connect the charger to the control unit and then to a power outlet. The indicator light is red while charging and green when fully charged. A full charge takes approx. 3–4 hours.
  • Do not use the device while charging, and unplug the charger immediately after it is fully charged. Leaving the charger plugged in for extended periods heats up and degrades the components.
  • Use only a grounded outlet and do not use during thunderstorms.

Cleaning

  • While turned off and unplugged, wipe the control unit with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth, and wipe the boots with a damp cloth. Do not submerge anything in water.
  • Do not use oil, gasoline, alcohol, solvents, or bleach. Ensure everything is completely dry before storage.

Storage

  • Store in a dry, clean, well-ventilated place, protected from sunlight and moisture. For long periods of inactivity, put it back in its box.
  • Charge the battery to at least 50% before long-term storage.
  • Unplug the power cable before moving.

When not to use

Do not use and consult your doctor first if:

  • you have deep vein thrombosis, suspect it, or have previously had a thromboembolism,
  • you have severe heart disease or circulatory failure,
  • there is inflammation, an open wound, or a skin lesion on your leg,
  • you have a fresh fracture, stress fracture, or metal implant in your leg,
  • you are pregnant,
  • you have severe peripheral nerve disease or numbness in your legs and cannot feel the pressure well,
  • there is a tumor or infection on or near your leg,
  • you have a blood clotting disorder or are taking anticoagulants,
  • you are under 18 years old.

Stop immediately if you feel pain, numbness, a paralyzed sensation, shortness of breath, dizziness, or notice unusual noise or odor. Never inflate the boots with other equipment and do not point the air hose toward your face.

Troubleshooting

What you see Possible cause What to do
Does not turn on, screen is dark Battery is depleted Charge it (approx. 3–4 hours) and check the charger.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a compression boot, and how does it work?

Compression boots are inflatable leg sleeves featuring a series of air chambers. The device inflates and deflates these in a specific sequence, applying wave-like pressure to your legs from the bottom up.

The Compression Boots operate with six separately adjustable air chambers and six programs, with pressure adjustable between 30 and 260 mmHg.

This is a wellness recovery device, not a medical device: it does not diagnose, treat, or cure, and it is not a substitute for medical care.

Who is it recommended for, and from what age can it be used?

For post-workout recovery for athletes, for those who do a lot of standing or sitting for work, and for anyone who wants to address a feeling of heaviness or fatigue in their legs.

By age:

  • Not to be used under the age of 12
  • Between 13 and 18 years, only with medical recommendation and supervision
  • Generally suitable for use over 18 years of age, provided there are no medical contraindications
  • Can also be used in older age, but always taking individual health status into account
How should I put it on, and in what position should I use it?

Sit down, pull the boots onto your legs, and then pull the zipper up from bottom to top. It is easy to put on and take off by yourself.

Lie down or sit comfortably with your legs in a slightly elevated position, so they are not below the level of your pelvis. This way, the device does not have to work against gravity.

It is most comfortable when wearing thin, smooth-textured trousers or long socks. The boots can also be in direct contact with the skin, as the inner material is skin-friendly.

How long should a treatment last, and when is the best time for it?

A treatment typically lasts 20–60 minutes, depending on the chosen program. Even 15–20 minutes at medium intensity is noticeable.

  • after training, wait until your pulse returns to the resting range, which usually takes 10–30 minutes
  • before training, a shorter, lighter program is suitable for warm-up
  • it is also pleasant after work as an evening relaxation

The timer can be set between 10 and 90 minutes. Do not use it while sleeping, but feel free to use it during daytime rest.

What do the number of chambers and the pressure value mean?

The six air chambers inflate one after another, moving from the foot towards the thigh. The more chambers there are, the more precisely the wave follows the curve of the leg.

The pressure is adjustable between 30 and 260 mmHg. Start in the lower range and only increase it if it feels comfortable. High pressure does not mean better results; the goal is a pleasant, uniform sensation.

You can choose from six programs, which differ in the sequence and rhythm of the chambers.

Is it noisy? Can it be used at home in the evening too?

The device operates at under 40 decibels, which is quieter than an average conversation. It can be used undisturbed at home, in the evening, even in the living room.

The control unit weighs 1.5 kg, measures 230 × 150 × 80 mm, and can also run on a built-in battery for up to 4.5 hours. This means you don't have to stay near a power outlet, and it can also be taken along for travel.

When is it NOT recommended to use?

Consult your physician before use if any of the following apply to you:

  • thrombosis, phlebitis, or other circulatory diseases
  • blood clotting disorder or use of anticoagulants
  • recent surgery, bone fracture, or injury in the lower limb
  • open wound, inflamed or infected skin surface on the leg
  • severe heart, kidney, or liver disease
  • uncontrolled high blood pressure
  • reduced sensation in the legs
  • pacemaker or implanted device
  • pregnancy
  • malignant disease

Do not use if you experience any unexplained pain, swelling, or skin lesions on your legs.

Can it be used on the arm as well? Can it be used by multiple people?

Not for the arm: the boot is designed exclusively for the leg. A separate device is needed for the upper limb.

Multiple people can use it, but it is recommended for everyone to wear thin clothing or long socks underneath, and the inner surface should be wiped down after use.

The size of the boot is adjustable, so it can be adapted to different body types.

What are the device's features?
  • 6 independently adjustable air chambers, 6 programs
  • pressure: 30–260 mmHg
  • timer: 10–90 minutes
  • battery: 5200 mAh, up to 4.5 hours of operation
  • noise level: below 40 dB
  • touchscreen LED display
  • control unit: 1.5 kg, 230 × 150 × 80 mm
  • warranty: 2 years
How should I clean and store it?

After use, wipe the inside of the boots with a slightly damp cloth or a disinfectant wipe, then leave them open to dry. Do not immerse the boots in water and do not put them in the washing machine.

Wipe the control unit with a dry cloth; always turn it off and unplug it from the power supply before cleaning.

Store in a cool, dry place, ensuring the air hoses are not kinked. If you notice any unusual sound, odor, or overheating during use, turn it off immediately and contact our customer service.
