How do I clean it?
The inner surface of the insulated cover is designed to help prevent the growth of mold and bacteria. Each order includes a quick-drying, machine-washable, absorbent sweat-absorbing mat that can be placed on the bottom of the sauna.
To remove limescale and mineral deposits that form inside the steamer tank, we recommend using a mixture of water and vinegar. Soaking the tank in this solution will effectively loosen and dissolve mineral deposits and residues.
After use, it is recommended to leave the door flap open for ventilation and to wipe away any condensation from the inner walls. In addition, it is advisable to wipe down the internal surfaces with a soft cloth after each session to remove sweat and moisture. This simple step helps prevent unpleasant odors and bacterial buildup in both steam and infrared saunas.
Are there any extra steps to prevent mold or mustiness?
Yes. Proper ventilation and drying are key. For steam saunas, drain any water remaining in the steam generator after use and leave the door slightly open. Good air circulation inhibits mold growth.
How do I deal with limescale in the steam sauna?
Limescale can build up in the steam generator of steam saunas. To remove this, regularly use a descaling agent or a vinegar-water mixture. Follow the cleaning frequency specified in the appliance's user manual – for hard water, this may be necessary monthly or even every few weeks.
How do I prepare it for storage?
After use, allow the sauna to cool down and dry completely before packing it away or storing it. Storing it in a persistently damp environment can damage the material.
